Frequently Asked Questions

Clear, technical answers to common queries about precured tread rubber, retreading chemistry, patterns, certifications, and wholesale ordering.

Precured Tread Rubber (PTR) is vulcanized in a factory environment under uniform high hydraulic press tonnage and tightly regulated temperature controls. This produces a higher compound density, optimal cross-linking, and superior DIN abrasion resistance compared to mold-cure hot recapping. Vehicles running on PTR achieve significantly higher kilometer per millimeter (CPKM) performance and cooler running temperatures.
In cold process retreading (procure chamber method), the tyre casing is cured at moderate temperatures between 99°C and 115°C inside an autoclave or curing chamber. Because the casing is never subjected to destructive 150°C+ heat cycles, the radial casing integrity, steel belt package, and bead wire temper are fully preserved, enabling casings to be retreaded 2 to 3+ times safely.
GTF Bonding Cushion Gum acts as the unvulcanized molecular bridge placed between the buffed tyre casing and the precured tread strip. When paired with GTF Vulcanizing Solution (fast-drying primer cement) and heated under chamber pressure, the cushion gum vulcanizes completely, forging an unbreakable chemical and physical cohesion that eliminates tread detachment risk.
Selection depends on the axle placement and terrain:
  • Rib Patterns (e.g. G-RIB, G-3C8, G-11): Ideal for Steer and Front axles or long-haul highway trailers for low rolling resistance and fuel economy.
  • Lug Patterns (e.g. G-24, G-ZLUG, G-TITAN): Best for Drive / Rear axles providing maximum traction on regional roads, unpaved routes, and heavy load conditions.
  • Specialty / OTR: Tailored deep-lug patterns designed for mining tippers, agricultural tractors, and construction earthmovers.
Every batch manufactured at our state-of-the-art facility undergoes a 7-stage lab verification:
  1. Moving Die Rheometer (MDR): Precise cure rate (Tc90) and scorch safety index.
  2. Mooney Viscometer: Compound plasticity and flow consistency.
  3. DIN Abrasion Resistance: Testing compound volume loss under friction.
  4. Tensile & Elongation Testing: Yield strength before rupture.
  5. Hardness Durometer (Shore A): Consistent elasticity and road dampening.
We accommodate small retreading workshop trial orders as well as multi-ton container shipments for large fleet syndicates and export clients. Standard stock sizes are dispatched within 24–48 hours from our central warehouse. Custom pattern compounds or export orders typically ship in 4–7 working days with full consignment tracking.

Our Story

A retreading materials manufacturer built around dealer reliability.

GTF Tyres Pvt. Ltd. manufactures the core materials used in tyre retreading — precured treads, conventional rubber, bonding gum, under-tread strip and vulcanizing solutions — supplying retreading shops, transport fleets, dealers and businesses across India and Nepal.

Rather than positioning retreading as a lower-cost compromise, we treat it as precision manufacturing: every compound batch-tested, every pattern engineered for a specific application, from highway haulage to open-cast mining.

Tyre Pyrolysis & Extraction Process

Converting end-of-life tyres into sustainable industrial resources at our Chatta, Mathura facility.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Process Flow

Resource Extraction Flowchart

Through closed-loop thermal decomposition, we break down end-of-life tyres into raw materials without emitting harmful pollutants.

This process involves heating waste tires, waste plastic products and rubber materials to high temperatures under oxygen-free or low-oxygen conditions to decompose them into a variety of chemical substances. The end product of pyrolysis plant is fuel oil, carbon black, and oil gas.

During the process of converting waste tyre/plastic to fuel oil, there will be no more pollution and solid waste like landfill or burning, and it can meet the environmental standard of exhaust gas emission. The detailed pyrolysis production process is as follows: first, the raw material such as waste plastic/rubber tyre will be heated in pyrolysis reactor, then the waste rubber tyre/plastic will be cracked and vaporize, the vaporized oil gas will go into condenser and condensed into liquid fuel oil. The fuel oil, namely pyrolysis oil, is a good and high calorific value energy. The dedusting and exhaust gas purification system will deal with the waste gas perfectly, just little energy is required to heat the energy, the oil gas which cannot be condensed will be recycled back to heat pyrolysis reactor. Thus, it will save energy and pyrolysis plant operation investment costs.

Pyrolysis Oil

B. Industrial Fuel Oil

Condensed oil vapor yields heavy pyrolysis fuel oil, providing high calorific heating energy for industrial boilers and furnaces.

High Tensile Steel Wire

C. High-Tensile Steel Wire

Clean scrap steel wires are magnetically separated from carbon residues, baled, and sent directly to steel mills for melting.

HEAVY-DUTY CARDBOARD CORES
GTF Cardboard Cushion Rolls
Product Details

Cylindrical Cardboard Cushion Rolls

GTF Heavy-Duty Cardboard Cushion Rolls (Cylindrical Paper Cores) are high-rigidity winding cores specifically engineered for the tyre retreading industry. Designed to provide sturdy internal support, these cylindrical cores are used as essential rolls for winding, storing, and feeding both conventional tread rubber (hot process) and uncured cold cushion gum sheets during retreading operations.

Constructed from high-density, spiral-wound industrial Kraft paper, our cushion rolls feature high radial strength and exceptional crush resistance under heavy rubber roll weights and tension. Their smooth, debris-free outer finish ensures uniform winding without damaging release liners or distorting rubber compounds, facilitating effortless payout on automated and manual retreading machinery.
